Advantages: None

Disadvantages: Interest on credit accounts

When I went to the Argos website I noticed that the company had brought out a mail order catalogue like the big books, eg, GUS, Choice, Littlewoods, Grattan... It looked interesting so I ordered one.

I needn't have bothered. when it came today, the first thing I noticed was how slim it was. then, when I opened the cover, it struck me that this was just a smaller version of the Great Universal catalogue with just the best sellers included.

The collection was very poor with very few items for the "larger lady". If you do order anything make sure that you pay upfront. You can open a credit account for orders over £50 but, unlike GUS, you do not get commission. Instead you have to pay interest of 28 odd percent.

Postage is £2.95 or free if you have the goods delivered to your nearest store.
