Advantages: Pick what u want at home - go elsewhere to buy it....!!!

Disadvantages: Queue queue and queue again...!!!

Argos self assembly furniture.... Ive got just one word for it. RUBBISH..!!

My advice, DON'T BOTHER...

Its easy to order it.
They call you back to tell you when its gonna be delivered.
It usually turns up when its supposed to but its VERY poor quality, and supplied with rubbish fittings etc..

For the prices they are charging, you would be better off going to Ikea if that's the sort of furniture you are after.
IE Cheap and cheerful..!!!

Most Argos branches give an appallingly slow, low quality customer service. The worst branch Ive ever been to has got to be in Croydon Town Centre..!!!

You queue and queue to pay, then wait and wait for the goods to turn up at the collection point.

Shops of this nature obviously offer their staff very little in the way of customer service training.

My advice - Don't bother. You'd be better off going elsewhere...

The only positive reviews on this site about Argos look as if they were written by people who obviously work for them...!!!

Summary: Don't bother. You'd be better off going elsewhere...

Yeah - Ive been to that one..you are right - it is a little better than town centre branch...my review does say 'Most Argos branches give an' etc etc...and is a reflection on my own experiences. May be thats the answer then. Out of town branches are a little better than town centre ones... The thing is, Argos clamed that they are giving you low prices, but when you start to compare with other high street stores like, Comet, Currys, Staples, Toys r Us, Boots, Asda, Tesco, you find that Argos are not always the cheaper option. Far from it. As someone who travels around the UK, the only reason I have to shop there is; if I need something and don’t know the local area, if there is an Argos, I can go and buy what ever without having to wonder around looking for other shops…

Unfortunately I actually have to copmment here that our local Argos Store (Hollingbury - Brighton) is much more efficient. I reserve on line - pay at the machine and have never been kept waiting in store for more than 7 minutes. The Brighton Town Centre one is much worse and pretty much fits your review. Richard.
