Advantages: fairly quick service, lower prices
Disadvantages: dont get to view item before purchase, items are not always of a very high standard
Particularly useful at Christmas, this shop is a lifesaver for some of those last minute buys.
Being one of the largest catalog stores in England, I have found them to sell almost everything I could possibly think of, such as electrical equipment, household furniture, jewelery, and gardening equipment.
Any item they sell can be bought in the shop by writing down its product number, or you can order online through the click of a button. Argos catalog's are free from any store, and contain all the items that the shop sells; flicking through the pages is useful for finding gift ideas for those loved ones or friends at different times of the year.
Prices on all items are very reasonable, with the each one I have bought being of a good quality. You don't get to view the item before you purchase it, although it is the result of this which helps to keep down the prices.
Busy times of year (mainly Christmas), results in some of the items selling out quickly, especially sale items. The company have a feature on the website, however, which allows you to reserve an item before picking it up; this is therefore especially useful if there is a small amount of the item left in stock. You can reserve or order items by visiting their website: www.argos.co.uk.
Thanks for reading
Summary: everything you would need to buy under one roof

- 07/05/08 Very useful review but I dislike the fact that someone may have used the item before you. My brother bought a slendertone machine to find the pads had gel on them! |
