Advantages: Tons of goods under one roof.

Disadvantages: I have not found any!

If you are sitting at home and find you need to buy something then simply grab the Argos catalogue and you will almost certainly find what you are looking for and usually at a very good price. There was a time when Argos would have things cheaper than you could find anywhere else every time, this is not the case now but they are still as cheap as most for most things and cheaper for a lot.

There are Argos stores everywhere and most people will find that if they have a car they can take their pick of a few Argos stores that are in their area therefore if one store is out of stock for a particular item then you can check with others, which they will be happy to do for you in store so you do not waste your time driving from store to store.

I personally have four Argos stores within 10 miles of my home and have never yet needed an item I could not get from at least one of them. I a sure everyone knows by now how an Argos store differs from most, when entering an everyday store you will be surrounded by all the items to look through touch and check out but with Argos all you get in store is a catalogue to browse through then you take your order to the cashier and a few minutes later the item requested will arrive from the store room for you.

If you wish to get a look at the item first just ask the cashier for a viewing rather than to purchase and they will happily fetch the item for you to cats an eye over before you buy. One of the best things about Argos is their returns policy, they are more than happy to replace faulty items for one year with either an identical replacement or anything up to the value of what you are returning including gift vouchers for the amount so you can return at a later time to choose what you want.

The service in most Argos stores I have been in is very good and the staff are mostly very helpful, of course you will get the odd exception to the rule but you get that everywhere. All in all Argos is a pleasurable shopping experience at low cost and they really can make claim to have all your shopping needs under one roof (well except food or clothing).
