argos direct never again (Argos)

Advantages: they answer the phone Disadvantages: you can only talk to them on the phone christmas was here and my 11 year old daughter said to me dad i would really like a pink dual suspension mountain bike for christmas.the one that she chose was from argos a pink and silver 18 speed dual suspension challenge oriano perfect.on christmas eve i was assembling the bike to find out that the front wheel was buckled and there was several scratches on the frame.i was dissapointed as was my daughter so i emailed argos direct and they sent me an aplogelic email and said they would send a replacement on the 30th december fair play being around the christmas period.the replacement came in the afternoon and the bike was tottally wrong the bike was only suitable for upto 8yrs old so i refused the delivery and phoned argos direct the customer service team didnt have any answers to the questions i was asking because the main question was how am i supposed to tell my daughter that she still cannot ride her bike in the christmas holidays with her friends so i sent another email to this day w hich is the 6th january still no reply.argos arranged to have the correct bike with me on the 5th of january and guess what the bike was the wrong one yet again my daughter came home from school expecting to ride her bike with her friends but i had to explain to her that she could not because they sent the wrong one again she was in tears.calmly i phoned argos direct and spoke to a gentleman in the customer services department and he said he would arrange a delivery on wednesday 7th january which i refused and asked for a full refund i also asked for compensation as a good will gesture for my daughter to which he replied why we have done nothing wrong to grant you compensation so i once again asked calmly to speak to a manager and he told me straight away to take the bike into my local store where i would get a full refund on my visa straight away which i just done only for the shop assistant to tell me that they cannot refund my card until the bike gets collected from argos direct on thursday 8th january so they can inspect the bike i am so angry because of the way i have been treated and all i want to do is put a smile on my daughters face . Summary: not happy never going to shop there again hope they join woolworths |
