Advantages: Good prices, useful site, huge selection
Disadvantages: Long queues
Argos probably has the largest catalogue of goods I've seen and as a result, has a huge market. The selection includes such products as furniture, toys, gifts, sports equipment, jewellery and all for very good prices.
As well as an online store that you can order from, Argos also has shops you can buy from. However, I've never really liked their layout. Instead of having items on display like most stores do, they have catalogues out which you get the product number from and then go to the checkout where you pay and get your product. The problem being that you can't look at what you're buying first, except from a small picture in the catalogue. They do have some things on display like watches and I understand that they have too much stock to display so it doesn't put me off.
Argos have also linked their site to the stores very well. You can use the "store locator" to find the closest Argos to you, as well as check stock levels before you go in and lastly, you can reserve it online and pick it up in the store to make sure you get what you want. This is a pretty useful feature and saves wasting any time.
Summary: Give it a try

- 25/06/09 I prefer Amazon tbh. Saves me from having to pay delivery fees, often cheaper, and better returns policy. |
