The free Argos catalogue is an excellent issue that comes out twice a year. One for Spring/Summer and one for Autumn/Winter.

Also with Argos you get special leaflets throughout the year which enables you to get even better savings.

The products within the main catalogues are easy to find as these are colour-coded in sections. Even the contents page at the front colour-codes the different sections.

The sections for the Autumn/Winter 2001 are:

Jewellery (white)
Personal care (deep blue)
Houseware (light blue)
Home and Interiors (mauve)
Office and Electronics (purple)
Outdoor and Leisure (mustard)
Toys and Nursery (orange)

The catalogue shows the various items in glorious colour with detailed descriptions and the price you pay, which includes VAT.

This gives you the flexibility of viewing any item you want to buy in the comfort of your own home. Once you have decided which purchase you want, you can either visit your local store to buy it or you can buy online at www.argos.co.uk.

You can also ring and reserve to the store of your choice and the item will be waiting for you there.

To shop on the net, you can also reserve your items and again pick them up from your store.

At the back of the catalogue is a list of stores in London, within M25, Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland, and The Republic
of Ireland. These stores are listed in alphabetical order and have the code number at the side for use when you ring up the store.

If you ring up and order, then delivery is free if your order is over £300.

In the catalogue are advertisements for other products eg: car and home insurance,RAC membership, Wedding gift service, and others.

I use this catalogue a lot, both to buy items and to compare prices with high street stores and other catalogues. I have not used the net to buy anything yet, as we have a store near to us, but
have been on their site, which is excellent.
