Argos is a high street store that are in many towns. They sell all sorts of items like toys, games, furniture, electrical, outdoor goods like tents, game consoles, bedding, towels, I could go on and on! ~Instore~ When you go into an argos store they have their 'best buy' items spread around the store, but as they have so many ...  Read the complete review

Argos was always a popular shop with my Mum when i was little. I always used to find it exciting to go to the shop and pick up the latest catalogue and then take it home and circle everything I wanted. Now it is not a shop I use so much, probably due to the fact the Internet came along. It is still a useful shop though and I am going to talk about ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review ARGOS IT! (774 words)
by - written on 22/11/09 (Very useful, 19 readings)

Argos is a catalogue shop and the company brings out a new catalogue twice a year or so. This means that you can flick through the pages of the catalogue in your own home and make your choice about what you want to buy before you visit the store. There is also a website for the company at www.argos.co.uk so if you prefer to do your ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Argos: "The laminated book of dreams..." (332 words)

To quote UK comedian Bill Bailey, Argos is home to the "laminated book of dreams", which is of course laminated "to catch the tears of joy" ("So many beautiful things, I cant possibly own them all..."). Present in most shopping centres, Argos is a catalogue shop that offsets the money it saves on overheads ...  Read the complete review

Argos is probably one of the most famous high street stores that made the transition to successful online retailer before many of its competitors. I'm sure there are many Dooyooers out there who, like me, when they announce the launch of a new catalogue find themselves calling into a shop to pick one up even though you can view the range ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Don't Shop For It, Argos It! (184 words)
by - written on 11/11/09 (Somewhat useful, 17 readings)
Rating:

Argos is a very easy and convenient place to shop. The thing that I love most about them is the reassurance that if you see something that in their free catalogue or on their website, you know that it is sure to be there (presuming its in stock). Like some shops websites don't have them products in store. Or better yet reserve online and pick up ...  Read the complete review

I quite like Argos and have never had a particulary bad experience whilst shopping there, although more often than not the item I want will not be in stock!! one of the best things about argos is the clearance range. If you're not online you can visit your local store and see the little postcards in the windows or around the pillars in the store.
