So you really think school uniform is too expensive?! (Asda)

Advantages: Well in the long run - MUCH cheaper!!

Disadvantages: Kids dont like it!!

Yes its back to school time and whether your child is just starting primary school or is off to high school for the very first time - then you are sure to need a uniform! So sure a couple of shirts and a pair of trousers wont cost too much - but then you've got:- PE shorts, trousers, T-Shirt, shoes/trainers. Then you've got extra shoes (after all kiddies feet grow so quickly! - and they have got to be "trendy"!! So all in all you can say that:-
Shoes = £30
Shirts (say 2) = £10
Trousers = £10
Trainers = £30
Sweatshirts/blazers = £20 (each?!)
So all in all you can say you would be spending about £100 on clothes. Then you've got the stationary essentials!!
BUT - and the major part is.......do you really think it is too expensive? - is uniform a good or bad thing? Well in my opinion it is actually a good thing (im 16 and so I know my opinion is not normal for my age group!) but as regards price I think it is adefinately a good thing - well look at it this way:-
If your child could wear whatever they wanted then im sure that the price you would pay on clothes would equal much, MUCH more!! Well - for 1 thing - they couldnt wear the same thing for more than 2 days (particularly in high school!!), their clothes would HAVE to be fashionable and "trendy" other wise they wouldnt get worn!! You get the picture!!
So basically I think that all schools should adeer to school uniform (mainly for the sake of the parents!)
