Advantages: Absolutely None Whatsoever As An Employer

Disadvantages: Poor conditions, pay, bullying, abusive management structure

I was a 'colleague' in one of the Midlands depots until November, this company is the worst company any human being could ever work for, the management structure is designed to make sure that every one toes the corporate line and should you ever deviate from it, you're toast and your arse is out the door. This company positively HATES anyone who is in a union, the depot I worked at had an anti-union scheme running called the colleague circle, designed to do all the things that a union would do, yet was basically run, funded and orchestrated by the depot management. I've worked for some bad companies in my time but this lot take the biscuit. Your personal best is never enough, every time it’s just more, more more, a relentless push to exceed all human limits. To get promoted in ASDA its attitude not aptitude that counts and having seen their 'finest' running the place, god help anyone who goes there for a job.

I could fill about 20 pages with my dealings on ASDA but take a look at http://gmb.org.uk and go to the ASDA sub-site and read the horror stories the abound. If you currently shop in ASDA and you believe that everyone should work without fear of discrimination or indeed intimidation then write to your local store and tell them you're hot-footing it to Tesco's instead for the weekly shop. The only way ASDA will ever sit up and take notice is when its profits get hit.

ASDA: the most inhuman company on the planet and as it's owned by the pathological WALMART group, it's hardly surprising. Any company that sacks an epileptic employee because they too 7 minutes to take a tablet needs sorting.

They say they're a caring company, family orientated and values its staff and is non discriminatory - BULLSHIT.

Summary: Inhuman company on par with NAZI'S - thats the ASDA difference !!1

I've rated this useful as I feel it would be if it were in the right category. I think if you move it, you'll get a few more. Sounds like a vile job. x
