Help I've got short legs!!! (Asda)

Advantages: The clothes are very reasonably priced and wear well

Disadvantages: Don't do short length

I recently heard that Asda – George were having a 15% off everything sale, so I decided to treat myself to some new winter clothes.

I am quite a short person at 5’4” and more often than not need to buy shorter leg trousers. However, when I was browsing through the selection of trousers at Asda; there were no short leg trousers in sight. Every rail had standard and long length, but no short length. I thought that they might have a little section hidden away in the corner for us “short” people, but NO there wasn’t.

I was rather disappointed by this, as there were some lovely trousers; so I decided to try a pair of standard trousers on to see how they fit. I had my boots on which add a couple of inches to my height, but they swamped me and left me looking like a school boy with his dads trousers on!

A lot of the styles had patterns on the hems and therefore, couldn’t be taken up with a sewing machine. So in the end I had to leave with only purchasing a few nice tops. Alas I will now have to take my custom to other retails such as Marks and Spencer’s, C&A and Dorothy Perkins who all cater for us “short” people. The prices are more expensive, but at least they understand that there are shorter than average people around.

Is there anyone else who has the same problem, including the men?
