Advantages: cheap prices, george

Disadvantages: tatty and queues at peak times

Asda is the secnd biggest supermarket company in the country, and it is also known for its low prices, with television advertising campaigns that back this up.

In store they do have a budget range, ASDA smartprice, which is great for store essentials. They also have normal own brands and a luxury range 'extra special'.

But what is so good about ASDA is all the other things they house under one roof. They sell CD's, games and DVD's at competitive prices, along with other electrical items such as flat screen TV's and irons.

George at asda, their clothing range is fantastic, this year being famous for its £15 black dresses. The great thing is thatwithin george they have different ranges, catering for not only men, women and children, but also the younger generation. they have even recently started having a jewellery counter selling proper gold and silver jewellery.

The biggest problem i find with ASDA is it often looks a bit tatty, and there are often big queues at the checkouts, which do tend to give it a bit of a bargain basement feel.

Summary: Low prices, but dont expect the shop to be immaculate
