Advantages: good selection of 3 for £10 wines

Disadvantages: Some of the clothing is poor quality

I don't use ASDA as my main supermarket shop as it's just not convenient - but I do make a special trip every couple of months to stock up on few items that they seem to do very well.

The primary reason I go is for their wine selection. Generally they have lots of really good wines in their "3 for £10" range. There is usually a lot of names like Jacob's Creek, Arniston Bay, Wolfblass available. I usually also pick a couple I have never heard of to try and often they end up as regulars, little penguin and Snappy Gum are two that spring to mind.

I always try to maximise my saving by selecting the wines that are around £5 to buy singularly, because there are some that at full price are only £3.50.

The other good things are their storage range with boxes, and tubs, their thermos flasks and breaded mushrooms!

I find a lot of the clothes are a little poor in quality - a lot of the material is very thin - but socks and childrens clothes seem OK (but not school shirts).

I also find that often I have to queue for quite a long time because they don't seem to have enough checkouts open.

It won't replace my regular shop but I think its worth the trip for specific items

Summary: Worth an occasional trip
