Advantages: Great Products - Great Prices
Disadvantages: No pertrol station yet
Hi just writing about the new Asda store thats opened in my home town of Bury St Edmunds. Open 24 Hours this store is the only Supermarket apart from Somerfield serving the west of Bury St Edmunds. This store is much needed and will be a great conveniance esecially for the elderly in this part of town.
This store is very clean and large in comparison to the other local supermarkets and has a far better range of clothes and electricals along with everything else you would expect to find in a supermarket. The store has a fish counter, a good deli counter and also a pizza deli where you can buy freshly made pizzas or choose your own size and topping and watch it be made.
There is a hot food counter and bakery here producing fresh bread all day.
Produce from the deli counters and the bakery are always fresh and of good quality.
Prices at ASDA are as expected very competitive, their basics range and George clothing are very very reasonable and brand names are around the same as other large supermarkets, seems to be a few more special offers here though.
There are plenty of staff around the store in case of any queries and plenty of check outs which helps to avoid queing for to long. Cashpoints which are free to use are available, and there is a cafe here although i have not yet used it so cannot really comment.
Car Parking here is plentiful and also free. There is also a recycling point here. Unfortunately no petrol station as yet but apparentley this is on the cards, once here it should help drive petrol prices down a couple of pence in our area. Home shopping is still not available in some areas served by this store as far as i know.
Overall a very positive shopping experiance with staff being helpful and the store very clean.
Summary: Great Supermarket
