Advantages: Cheap food if you buy Asda brand
Disadvantages: Not much in the way of custmer service if you need it.
This will be of interest to any new mums who plan on taking bounty vouchers to Asda to get a £5 voucher off a £10 spend.
Bounty is a organisation for mums and mums-to-be, they provide you with bags of freebies in pregnancy, whilst in hospital and when your baby is 6 months old. Up until recently if you collected your bounty pack at Asda they offered extra incentive in the form of a £5 off voucher if you spend £10 or more on baby goods including clothes.
I recently travelled a few miles to my nearest Asda store to obtain my 6 month bounty pack. Opening the pack to get my £5 voucher for clothes I intended to purchase I found that it was not in the bag. I returned to customer service to bring this to their attention where another bag was opened with the same result. I brought the voucher that I had completed to her attention where it quite plainly stated that Asda offer this discount - she then informed me that Asda had stopped this offer.
I emailed Asda customer service with my complaint explaining that I felt that Asda should honor the agreement and received a two paragraph email back with little information other than to say that they had stopped the offer and where offering other vouchers that make up for it (these turned out to be £1 off nappies and £1 off a packet of wipes, neither of which I needed at the moment) and little apology.
I was most disappointed in Asda and won't be shopping there anytime soon.
Summary: Don't expect much if you have a problem
