Advantages: Cheap, good deals, polite helpful staff, fresh food

Disadvantages: Meat Joints are not very good

I have been to may different stores to buy my food, but without fail I always return to Asda. I have found that my local asda in Great Bridge does everything.

Upstairs you have the George deparment. This has a range of things from clothes and shoes to cds and electrical equipment. I love this part of the store and can always find a bargin. Childrens toys are brilliant up there and they even do a pocket money isle which is great when I take the kids they can get something out of their pocket money for being good for as little as a £1. I have also bought my sons bike from here this cost £70. When I bought it the first time I got it home to find that It did not have stabilisers in. So I returned it to get a full refund because they didn't have another one. Instead of getting the same one that I origninally picked up I bought a power rangers one for the same price that didn't come with stabilisers but he would have enjoyed that one more being power rangers. I also got his bike helmet and knee pads from here too on a good deal. I also pick up alot of birthday cards from here. They used to be very expensive on birthday things but I have noticed that they have really come down in price. My children have been able to have pinyatas, banners, balloons and party bags from here for a small ammount. I have even bought the helium kits for the parties too. I always have a look on the cheap dvd section to see what bargin I can pick up on a friday to sit and watch when the kids go to bed. I have also now started to pick some up for the kids while they are on a special at £5 and the computer games at £10 makes life a little cheaper. I have bought many clothes for the whole family from here too. It costs me around £60 a year in clothes for each child with the odd new thing bought through the year. I have bought a dress for my baby daughter the other day and it cost £2 I have never found something so cheap brand new. Then you have the best electrical department I have know their is such a choice and they do their own cheap versions which I tend to buy. I have had a microwave, kettle, toaster, sandwitch toaster and iron the only thing that has broken on me so far is the iron but even the expensive ones have done that to me just out of guarentee so I dont mind for £5. They also always give you a 12 month guarentee on all your electrical appliances that you buy.

Downstairs is the best shopping experiance for food that you will ever find. The fruit is lovely and fresh and at a very reasonable price as for the veg, I love this because my family are very healthy eaters and fruit and veg do not last as long as the nice stuff that I buy. The meat section is ok, I buy chops and chicken fillets from here but the joints are not that good but that is the only problem that I have with asda. There is a wide range of all foods and I tend to try something new everytime I go shopping. They also now have a polish section and Indian section. There is not a big range of this food so I am not quite sure how well they do with this produce. They also have a big selection on magazines for men women and children which is handy. It is a very big store that stocks all fresh produce and always seems to have a good stock up system, there has only been one instance that I have not been able to get everything that I wanted.

There are alot of checkouts here and on the busy days like saturday they tend to have the majority of the tills on as well as the self serve tills. This is still very busy and could be waiting in a cue of 3 people with full trollies. You have easy escalators that you can take your trolly up on but there is a lift for wheelchairs and pushchairs, and their is a set of stairs for those non lazy people (that catogory I do not fall into to) and for fire safety.

The staff here have always been polite, help you with your packing and serve you with a smile. If you need help finding something they will take you to it not just point you in the right way. If you have a return the customer services are more than happy to help you. If there is something that you want and it is not on the shelf they are more than happy to take a look in their stores to see if they have one and bring it out to you.

My store is 24 hours and this has been brilliant for me to be able to go and do my shopping at 10pm when nobody is in and without the children. You do not realise how much fun shopping is until you do the midnight run.

The staff are lovely, the food is of good quality and their own brand is great and well priced. I have got no problems with this shopping store and is the best I have been too they just need to get some melt in the mouth joints.

Summary: a brilliant shopping experiance
