I think Asda has turned into the most popular supermarket in Colchester now taking thecrown from Tescos in the fourth round. It's taken a while but judging by how many people were in there on Saturday I think they can safely say they are number one round here. Like I said, I went in there on Saturday and it was rammed. It's a big store anyway but you couldn't move in there. I think they have a good balance in Asda and that is why they are doing so well.They have something for everyone for example Clothes, CD's, Toys, er Food a dry cleaning service and a whole lot more. I hate food shopping (well shopping in general really) but walking round there on Saturday it wasn't to bad even though I could hardly move. For one thing the music they play over the load speaker is not cheesy lift music it is uptodate stuff that you can whistle to yourself on the way round (or is that just me?). It's quite a big store but finding stuff that you need was quite easy and there must be about 20(at least) checkouts so you don't queue for too long. The only bad thing about this store is parking but I think that is the same for all supermarkets and as we get nearer to Christmas this problem will get worse. But you can't have everything.
