Advantages: Good selection thats cheap
Disadvantages: Untidy stores
Asda is anther one of those supermarkets competing against each other in the Uk. Asda has always had a supermarket close to where I live so for many years I have witness the supermarket for my self. They do provide a very large selection of shopping, electrical goods and clothes, all at very respectable prices. Asda’s own brand ‘Farm Stores’ is one of the cheapest I have ever come across things like Asda lemonade is only about 12p and even the baked beans can be as low as 2p. I would though, stress that there quality isn’t that good, but if you don’t have much money then they have to do. A Critism of Asda that I have is that the overall layout and tidiness of the store is not the best and certainty not up to the standard of stores like Tesco and Sainsburys, there are often empty boxes on the floor kicking around etc. Also Asda’s own way of saying ‘Sale’ is its rollback scheme. They do often-lower prices, sometimes lower than rival stores, but they do also roll the prices back again so be warned, the price may mot be the same next time you go! Anyway, god overall store, but most of all there are more bargains to be found in this supermarket, than any other.

- 03/02/01 They have been given a severe telling off for un-rolling the roll backs and now can only put them up with inflation. Good op x :) |
