Since the takeover of ASDA by the american chain Wallmart this one time excellent store has gone down the hill. It used to be a joy to do the weekend shopping at ASDA, but no longer!!!
The interior has been made to look like a cheap market joint. I have spent quite a time in the USA and I would say ASDA is being turned into a cheap dime joint.
We now see the aisles clogged and shelves not regularly topped up, they cant even be bothered to make the products look good by display,now it is just cut the box and help yourself.
The cafeteria at times is pathetic and the display of food not topped up in accordance with the menu. During the weekend you can be sure to have cold food by the time you get to the checkout, has anyone thouhgt about a seperate checkout for cold food and anyone wanting just a pot of tea or other beverage!!! At the same time the overall standard of cleaniness is far below standard and at times it is difficult to find a clean table and it is up to the girl at the checkout to clear up. This is a disgrace and extra staff not profits is needed.
The idea that you should search for what you want is really true here.
The only good thing is the parking which is very good for the disabled driver and I would recommend this system to other supermarkets.
