I went to Asda for numerous shopping sprees at York nr Monks Cross with my parents as a child. Now the store has relocated just down the road and has also been taken over by the big Wallmart company from America. With the takeover by Wallmart the supermarket has started to offer a wide range of products. These products include fashionable clothes, garden furniture, Hi-Fis TVs, VCRs and offer some fantastic savings on these products aswell. I purchased an AIWA VCR not so long ago and found it was cheaper than anything on offer in dixons with similiar features and I think I would have been hard pushed to find a cheaper deal anywhere else.
An incident once occured where I found a piece of paper in my lasagne. I returned the piece of paper with my complaint and recieved a £5 voucher for my upset. The reply left me happy and contended.
I have to say that in my opinion the stores service is second to none. The staff are helpful and friendly and the facilities are some of the best Ive seen in the area. I think that the store should be praised for its efforts to please its customers. I wish all retailers could could offer this level of service.
