Advantages: Cheap

Disadvantages: sometimes shelves are a bit bare

Before I moved to my new flat about a year and half ago I had become I bit of a supermarket snob and shopped at Sainsburys. Don’t know why it just meant same food for more money!
Since moving I don’t live near Sainsbury my local Supermarket is now Asda.

I do 95% of my shopping at Asda and there have been a couple of lapses when I have gone to Safeway and it always turns out to be more expensive, So now I stick to ASDA.

The main reasons for me shopping there are :-

· Its open till 8 everyday 9pm on a Thursday
· It’s generally speaking cheaper than other supermarkets
· They will price match so if you get a flyer for an offer that’s on elsewhere take it in and they match it.
· Their Indian takeaways and pizzas are good value for money and taste great
· If you go about 6pm you get bakery products at discount price i.e bread for 10p

There are quite a few things that I don’t like about my shopping experience at my Asda but I am willing to put up with these if it means my shopping is cheaper.

· Their own brand products tend to be awful.
· If I go about 6-7pm there is never much fresh meat/chicken left
· They never have enough tills on
· My one doesn’t have a butcher

There is one point but I cant decide if it’s a plus or minus. The store is smaller than my nearest Safeway so the range isn’t as great. But this does mean I don’t spend so much time shopping and they tend to have less gimiky things which I am prone to buying!!

The best value for money at Asda has to be pasta, spaghetti for 12p or a BIG value bag for a £1 this bag lasts months I am afraid I cannot remember the size but its at least 3 normal bags.

My conclusion :- Why spend more when you dont have to shop at ASDA

Went to our nearest Asda the other day, and began to wish it were more local. If for no other reason, they are the only place I've found that stock Curly Fries!!
Good op.

I like Asda. I don't shop much but now I don't live in an area that has a morrisons anymore, I prefer to go to Asda.
