Advantages: Good value for money, excellent customer service, They have the human touch

Disadvantages: none that I can think of

Asda - what a shopping treat to behold! Good range of food, good value, good service, friendly opening hours, unbeatable clothes.... what more can I say?
As a long time Asda shopper, I am a total convert (except for the odd trip when poss. to Aldi) but an experience we had in Asda a couple of weeks ago sealed my loyalty totally.
My daughter had been unwell in the night and, after feeling much better, we decided to have a little trip to our local Adsa for a few provisions. Shopping done and us on the way out of the store, Sophie, our daughter, said "mom I've been sick" and then proceeded to vomit copious amounts onto the floor of the store ( which on a Saturday afternoon is as packed as can be ) How embarressing is that?
Thank god for the presence of mind of two lovelly Customer service staff who came to our aid with wet wipes, mops and genuine concern and sympathy for poor old Sophie who was distraught. After holding on to our other child for me whilst I went to the loo to clean Sophie up, someone came into us with a whole new set of clothes for her to change into!
In a society when customer service desks are rife but sadly are staffed with incompetent unhelpful people who neither know their job nor care, it was such a joy to be treated so well by someone who was genuinely concerned, who averted a scene on a very busy day and sent us on our way clean and free from the smell of sick.
So, for the human touch, Asda get my full vote of confidence. The fact that they are a good all round good value for money store helps somewhat too.
