After shopping at this store for at least 20 years, I feel I am somewhat authorised to make my comments so here they are. Asda has had its ups an downs over the years, but personally I now feel it is near to its best since the takeover by Walmart, the American giant. There were times in the past though when things were very ... Read the complete review

I can't remember how my family survived before Asda came to town! There is plenty of parking, the staff are helpful and always acknowledge you fully when you get to the checkout. The store generally has a nice ambience, a great feel about it. Best of all, of course, are the prices. As a family we are convinced that Asda ... Read the complete review

Supermarkets are probably the most boring places in the world. I hate going to them, especially as thery're so big and packed full of people who are desperatley trying to get there shopping done in the shortest time possible!! Anyway, what I wanted to talk about was just how cheap Asda stuff was. As a student, cost is obviously a big ... Read the complete review

I recently called into my local Asda store to pick up a film for my camera. Since I has spent a few minutes deciding which film to get I remembered the price. At the till I was charge 80p more, but as I thought I may have picked up the wrong item, I paid and went back to check. The price was indeed 80p lower on the shelf, so I ... Read the complete review

We are lucky that our local Asda supermarket is a huge Asda-Walmart superstore. It is a vast place, with just about everything you could wish for. When we shopped there regularly, not only did we do our weekly shop there, but we bought our greetings cards from there, our clothes, toiletries, magazines, CDs, videos, toys and much more. It ... Is it just me or is Asda the most depressing looking of all the supermarkets in the UK? I'm not a regualar shopper at Asda but the times I've been there I just can't wait to leave. Usually, I like to take my time when I shop - but not here. Staff uniforms are drab - same as hospital theatre staff! Mediocre products - and ... Read the complete review

I always used to do most of my supermarket shopping at Tesco’s in the centre of Walsall. I worked in the Council House so I was only a few yards away. Since I have finished work and spend most of my time in and around home at Bloxwich my new shopping venue has become Asda, which is just across the road. The prices in Asda are ... Our local Asda is located on a Greenfield site right next to a sewage works. When it opened around 10 years ago, not too many people used it and the car park was never more than half full. However, following the publicity of the failed merger with Kingfisher and eventual take-over by WalMart the usage has gone up exponentially and despite the ... Read the complete review

Asda can be very reasonable with it's pricing but when you actually get your "Asda's own" products back home; your more than likely wish that you'd spent the extra on a brand name. I've been through this experience and my daughter's bottom suffered. She is of course, just a baby. The product in question ... Read the complete review

I visited the new Asda Wallmart and I was not impressed at all. Spent ages trying to find items found it a headache and I was glad to get out of the place with very little shopping. I will not be going there again in a hurry unless I am really desperate and there is no other option. The staff were all a little confused which is understandable ... Read the complete review

When Asda started doing their “George” range – how we laughed. It seemed absurd that the then poor relation of the supermarket world would bring out a naff range of so-called “designer” clothes. Now this George character has been around for about ten years and he must be the one who’s laughing. Asda’s ... Read the complete review

Food shopping to me was always a chore, something that just had to be done. That was until I started shopping at Asda. Now I actually find it quite enjoyable. In fact it's like going to the fair or a market. There is always something going on - music playing, offers called out by the greeter, and so many nice, affordable things to ... Asda stores for me are a delight for shopping at during midweek when it is not busy, but at the weekends and in the evenings when more people are doing their shopping, it seems to be a hassle, especially getting up and down the isles. They do, however try to open as many checkout’s as possible so they do reduce queuing time. The ... Read the complete review

Asda are one of the newer supermarkets which have taken off. Where I live in Bristol there is a massive Asda which stock basically anything that you could think of. I quite like Asda's but I find that they have too many of their own makes and not enough of the more established brands. This is not really a bad thing but I don't ... Read the complete review

I know a few people who have a few grumbles about Asda mainly the checkout bit where all your shopping is hurled at you at the speed of light and you have to have a degree in bag packing to do it in time before they are telling you how much youve spent!! BUT it's alot better than having to wait around for ages with your trolley for a ... Read the complete review

I cannot fault Asda one little bit, All of their stores have good parking facilities, most have toilets and baby change facilities, friendly staff and rock bottom prices. Their rollback price feature seems to be giving them a competitive edge at the moment, as they keep finding lower prices for a large number of day to day items. When you ... Read the complete review

I think Asda has turned into the most popular supermarket in Colchester now taking thecrown from Tescos in the fourth round. It's taken a while but judging by how many people were in there on Saturday I think they can safely say they are number one round here. Like I said, I went in there on Saturday and it was rammed. Our local Asda. To the left of the entrance there are six disabled parking bays. Immediately by the entrance there are two hole in the wall cash machines which just invites non disabled people to park in the disabled bays whilst they "nip out" and get some cash. I think my family have shopped at Asda’s for the last five or six years mainly because it’s fairly cheap, convenient, and local. Asda always has offers on selected food and most of the time they involve items that you need. What I like is the buy 1 get 2nd half price or buy 2 get 3rd free, and the overall standard of food is high. ... Read the complete review
