ASDA have got to be the best all round supermarket, Safeway etc are too expensive! - Advantages: Excellent Customer Service, Huge Range of Stock, Cheapest BIG supermarket chain. - Disadvantages: Too busy most of the time, Less staff on a night time which is stupid

Do you hate shopping, I know I do. That daily/weekly/monthly grind of having to trudge through hundreds of people, kids screaming (why do parents take their children to supermarkets to smack them? Never quite understood that) and then fighting to get to a checkout to eventually get home and unpack it all....its a nightmare! So I suggest ... Read the complete review

For as long as I can remember, I have shopped at my local ASDA superstore. Since I was very young, I can always remember weekly shopping trips to ASDA with either my parents or grandparents (sometimes both), and have always found ASDA to be an enjoyable place to go for the weekly necessities- until just recently that is. My local ASDA ... Read the complete review

Can Asda knock Tesco off the number 1 spot? According to the Sunday newspapers, Asda stole over £100million pounds of trade from their competitors last year, which can't be bad. Firstly I have to admit that location is the most important criteria with regard to shopping, I live a 5 minute drive from both a Sainsbury?s and a Tesco. ... Read the complete review

I am personally an asda fanatic! I have a limited budget and asda have really low prices, but unlike other cheap stores such as kwiksave, lidls etc etc, they have a really high level of quality too. Also being a vegetarian I do find it hard to find interesting food in other super markets but asda stock a really wide range of ... Read the complete review

I was in my last year at school and my parents said to me that i needed to get a job. So i went out looking and i got an application form from ASDA. I filled in countless numbers of application forms buty only ASDA got back to me. I do not usually get enthusiastic about supermarkets as seen one you have near enough seen them all but this one is different. This AsdaWalmart is the second largest supermarket in the country. It is nearly the size of two football pitches. It is the first purpose built supermarket since Walmart took over Asda. It is in Abbey ... Read the complete review

I don’t think Asda should be in the Supermarket section. Going by their boasts, they should be in the Charities section. They are practically keeping this country going. There is the ASDA Foundation, The Big Read (they invited professional storytellers and schools into Asda to promote reading), The Big Sum (they invited schools into Asda ... Read the complete review

My cupboards were bare, I could not put it off any longer, and six people would want to eat after school. I was going to have to go shopping for a major shop. I normally just take my pram to the local shops and fill it up but that would not be good enough. I was going to have to take the car! If I take the car shopping I can go further ... Asda has opened round the corner: a big superstore. And I am really happy. Though I like small, speciality shops and I have got my butchers and I travel half and hour to get my fish from my favourite fishmonger, Asda has made my life easier. It’s a big store with always enough tills open. Once I have learnt my way around, I do my ... Read the complete review

I've had the (mis)fortune to move house. A lot. So, I've lived in different areas, different towns (even different countries, but that doesn't pertain here), so I've had the opportunity of visiting several different Asda stores. What is it about Asda? Their prices are relatively good, I admit, their really cheap stuff ... Read the complete review

I grew up near a large Asda supermarket, where we bought everything from wallpaper to baked beans. I still have fond memories of sausage sandwiches on a Friday night after the big shop. I moved to Yorkshire several years ago, and was disappointed to find that there was no Asda nearby - or so I thought. I have spent the last few years ... Read the complete review

I was on my way to my usual Tesco shop when I drove past Asda and thought I would give it a go so in I went after about 30 mins trying to get change for a trolley. Saturday morning shopping is always a fun-filled time in our Asdas. It starts off at the entrance with a “greeter”, usually a pensioner, who wears a smiley face badge labelled “Always Happy to Help”, and whose job it is to make you feel welcome with a warm “hello”. Unable to face the enthusiasm? Just wait for ... Read the complete review

You know the feeling. The change slowly accumulates over days and months in your pocket, 1p?s, 2p?s and even the little 5p?s are making a bulge in your wallet. What to do with them? Annoy shopkeepers by paying with them over a period so long that the queues build up behind you? Save them in an old sweet jar until you take it to the bank, only to ... Read the complete review

All of us, at some point in our lives have probably been to a local Asda store. An acronym for Associated Dairies, Asda has been around since 1965, when it was founded by a group of farmers in Yorkshire. So what can you expect from Asda?? My local store is about 3 miles away from me (Near Castleford), and is fairly small ... Read the complete review

“We went to Tesco’s every day.” Those were the words written in my 8 yr olds, “What we did in our school holiday” book, 6 years ago. I was mortified when I saw them. I have shopped at Asda for over 10 years, and in several different Asda Stores, so Daisy and family would like to take you on a shopping tour, to show you why we like to shop at Asda.
