Advantages: Easy access, cheap shops

Disadvantages: Not a huge number of shops

Atlantic village is a shopping retail outlet situated near Bideford in North Devon. Approximately 20minutes from the nearest major town, Barnstaple, Atlantic village offers a wide variety of stores covering from women's and men's fashion to children's toys and Cadbury's chocolate.

The site is situated just of the A39 main road and is signposted making access simple. Parking at the site in the large car park is free. A new ASDA superstore has also recently opened on the same site. The main shopping area is all indoors in a modern and spacious building.

At one end of the building is situated a very nice cafe which serves normal cold snacks as well as some hot food. Further on is what is known as Atlantic Adventure Park. This charges an entry fee and includes a miniature golf course, a large maze and a huge kids play area in the shape of a pirate ship. This is something to keep the kids amused after walking around shopping for hours!

Summary: A great place to pick up some bargains and have a mooch around.
