Advantages: Great products and a great catalogue to browse.

Disadvantages: Some not so good perfumes.

Avon as I am sure most will know is a cosmetic company that sell cosmetics, toiletries, haircare and gifts for the whole family but instead of selling it from stores they sell it from catalogues that your local Avon rep will bring to your door.

I have been lucky as I have had a local Avon rep at every house I have stayed at over the last 20 years, I often wonder what I would have done had I moved to an area with no rep because I really love Avon products and I really enjoy browsing the little catalogue too.

Avon's products are always of a high standard and never too expensive, there is always lots of offers on throughout the catalogue such as BOGOF (buy one get one free), 3 for the price of two or 2 for a fiver. If you shop carefully you can usually find a way to make your money stretch much further in the Avon catalogue.

I am a great lover of their makeup and also of their deodorants and body sprays but I am a bit fussier when it comes to perfumes and only find one I like from Avon on occasions. Avon has scratch and sniff pages in their catalogues so you can smell the new scents which I think is a great idea.

I would recommend everyone give Avon a try at least once, it's great when you get the newest catalogue for a rummage through and even better when it is the Christmas one because it always has lots of nice gift ideas as well as wrapping paper and Christmas cards.

Summary: A great way to shop for cosmetics!
