Advantages: good value for money

Disadvantages: the lack of samples and cant try before you buy

I have always loved Avon products. I think its great to order in the comfort of your own living room. I have always enjoyed their catalogues and like to look through once the kids are in bed. I decided to be an Avon rep after I had my first child as I had always been a fan and wanted to earn a little extra cash while I was on maternity leave. I found the advantages fantastic.

I was surprised that you got your own representatives book called "link" when you are an Avon rep which gives you the opportunity to buy the new and up coming product cheaper than their catalogue price so you can show them off to your customers. I found this to be great as people would often ask me about new items and I find they would purchase them if they saw them first. I now unfortunately don't do Avon do to the lack of time and me being in full time employment. I do really miss my link mag and the extra money. I think Avon gives people a great expensive to join as a rep as they give you 25% of your earnings back if you make £200 or more so for example if you made £200 of orders Avon would give you £50 which I think was great. Im not sure if it's the same now though.

Some of my favourite products are:-
* The black glimmer stick eyeliner (usually around £7 but you can often get one cheeper than that when on offer)-I really like this as you don't have to sharpen it and you just twist when it runs out.
* The senses shower gels(usually about £1)- These have a lovely smell and come in lovely bright colours, I find this very cheap. I really like the winter spice one.
* The kids range(£2.50)- I have always found their kids shampoo and bubble bath good value for money and kind on my daughters skin.
* Nude soft matt moose(about £7)- I really like how this foundation glides on my skin and leave a nice smooth finish.

Plus I love all Avon's underwear. I find them to be very comfortable and their sizes are perfect. Avon always have the matching knikers which is lovely. These are usually of a reasonable price (around £7 for a bra and £5 for briefs) . I really like it around Christmas time too when the have the gift sets and also children's toys etc. I find this very useful as they have presents to suit the whole family so I can order out of Avon for various family members which same me going around the shops.

I think the only downside to Avon is that you can't really try the products before you buy them like in shops and sometimes you may not get the correct shade because of the lack of samples. I know sometimes the Avon reps do give you samples but this is usually only for perfume. Apart from this I have found Avon very good value for money and will always recommend.

Summary: Avon is a great company
