Advantages: good products, good prices

Disadvantages: no respect for reps, too many charges for reps, too much hassle

Its the year 2003 and i would like to update you on becomeing an avon rep, i have just read through all your ops and have noticed that things have actually slightly changed.

I was a rep for a few months this year, and the order value of which you can earn any money has arisen to £60.00, if your order is anything under this amount , you earn nothing. but, if you do, you earn 20%, up to an order of £115.00 and hereafter you earn 25% as i was told by my area manager, i too did not see her after our first chat, she also told me that if i got orders more than £100 then she would prize me with a free bottle of purfume and also if i got orders over £200 then i would get 2!! till this day she hasnt called or came around to give me this purfume. so much for helpful area managers, from my opinion she was useless!

Yes you still pay for you brochures, the more you order the less you pay, and yes you still pay for your paper delivery bags and samples, which i think is pathetic.

Basically, avon make there money from the orders you get and from the avon reps themselves. overall i didnt make alot of money, at the most around £25.00, which is not really worth all the bother as i have had so many people shout and yell abuse at me.

You do still get a few items cheaper in your link brochure (a brochure just for reps)

You can even submit your orders online, if you dont fancy dropping them off at the collection point. You can also pay online and check your balance, claim for returned items etc

but one thing is that whenever i wrote to them online regarding a problem with the order, they replied back after 5 days, which is no good to me or my customers, so therefore you get customers complaining, and that is even more stress!!

Now that im not a rep, i still love avon products they do great perfumes and body lotions, i would nt stop buying them, but there is no cahnce i'd sell them any longer. Hope this helps.
