Brushes and Questions (B&Q)

Advantages: Good range of products

Disadvantages: Not enough knowledgeable staff

I know the idea is to review a particular store of B&Q, but I have shopped in several all around the country, and I have had exactly the same experience in all of them, so therefore fellow reviewers, I will break the rule, and review the group in general...... I'm sure you will forgive me?

Now I am certainly no handywoman, and just about know a paint brush from a hairbrush, but every now and then I have to venture into the big unknown world of DIY, and that is when I enter the orange doors of B&Q.

I feel the store does have a wide range of products, and the prices are reasonably fair, however I rarely enjoy my shopping experience there. It starts off with the fact that it is virtually impossible to get a member of staff to ask should you need any help. On top of that I have had the experience more than once that the staff are also unable to give you basic advice on even the simplest products. Not really helpful if you are a bit of a DIY beginner like me.

And the other thing that I have found most annoying, is the frequency with what prices of items are just not visible or available. Now combine that with my previous problem of never finding an available staff member, and you see what I mean.....

All in all, it has the potential to be a fantastic store, if the above would improve.....Come on B&Q!!
