My New Kitchen......to be!! (B&Q)

I've just ordered a kitchen from B&Q £7,000 +, which we are having installed by our own kitchen installer. The kitchen is a Cooke & Lewis range which we are quite impressed with from the displays we've seen in our local store.

We have also purchased all our appliances from B&Q and would have liked to have included some granite worktop as well but was told by the designer that we could only do this if we had the kitchen installed by them!! This i find quite odd as they have lost a sale of £2,000+ so therefore are, to quote an old saying, "shooting themselves in the foot" When i asked why they had this policy I was told by, I must say, the very nice B&Q kitchen designer that some customers were saying that the worktop was faulty when not! I asked if they could just install the worktop so this problem would not occur but was told no, we only install worktops if the full kitchen is installed by B&Q.

I still have to wait for delivery to see if any problems occur from that......just a little bit disappointed with not being able to order the granite worktop!
