Advantages: choice, value and helpful staff
Disadvantages: It is so big it might take a while to find something
Located near the busy junction 9 of the M62, where it crosses the A49 at Warrington, lies a massive B&Q Warehouse. The Warehouse is not located amongst other super stores so has easier access in and out of the car park. A drive through Burger King Has recently been added near to the entrance of the car park. There are also recycling facilities located in the car park. Inside the store it is huge with massive selections of almost any DIY equipment you could Want. There are single packs of items , eg light bulbs, or you have the choice to buy in bulk packets at a far better price per item. There always seems to be lots of staff about, and there are different staff trained for different services meeting and greeting ,to cutting Venetian blinds to size, mixing paint colours or operating a wood saw . You are allowed 3 cuts per piece of wood bought, which will save loads of time at home cutting it to size your self. Slightly separate to the main building is a bulk / trade selection which sells to everyone. You can buy very cheep bricks, sand ,cement, paving, roofing felt and plumbing items here at prices which easily beat the other DIY stores. An indicator of the good prices at the B&Q Warehouse is that pensioners normally get a 10% discount at normal B&Q stores, but are not allowed the discount at the warehouse because the price is already cheeper. There is also a separate garden selection with sheds and fencing as well as the usual plants, pots and garden tools and furniture. To the rear of the store is a small and expensive coffee shop , and also customer toilets.
