I have ordered various things from B&Q for my new kitchen that needed home delivery and on the whole the service has been awful. Firstly the floor. This arrived on the date specified direct from the manufacturer and they phoned before they delivered to tell me they were on their way. Brilliant. But then came the aggro. The worktop I ... My review is based on my local B&Q store which is Harlow, Essex. Our B&Q store is located on a large shopping area just on the outskirts of town which contains lots of stores selling similar items such as Homebase & The Range. B&Q sell a whole host of items to help with redecorating the house or ... Read the complete review

We are lucky enough to be a just a few minutes drive from 2 B&Q stores - 1 'normal' size & 1 superstore but it's half a day gone browsing or searching for exactly what I'm looking for & more often than not, I come away emptyhanded. Although I'm not sexist & I may be grossly exaggerating here (excuse me) I find ... Read the complete review

I think B&Q is great, but before I get carried away, I also think the local hardware store, which is becoming a thing of the past, is fantastic as well. You will find practically anything here for the house and garden from a washer for a tap to a full blown kitchen. Primarily B&Qs purpose seems to be for ... Read the complete review

Boy do I really hate B&Q- Ok it does have everything you need under one roof but trying to find what you want is a mine field. I went to my local B&Q to buy a new tap for my sink, I looked in the logical place next to the kitchens but they weren't there so I looked down the next isle, showers and shower screens. So I thought ... Read the complete review

After reading all the reviews i am staggered at the amount of folks moaning we must be lucky at strood kent as they are an absolute scream in this store, whenever i am in the shop the staff are helpful, go out of there way to help me with me diy questions and needs, having worked in a shop and retail years ago, i would not want the job back for all the money in the world, treat the staff how you would like to be treated by them and you get the service back, remeber if you shout that gets there back up straight away, and they are human, they are not stupid and lower in life than you because they work in B&Q, Try B&Q Strood, Kent i doubt you will get better service

B&Q is a great DIY store, it has everything you could need for DIYing. It has many decorating items and also bathroom items, machinery for indoors and out and many many more. I.E. The store is quite large and spacious, it also has a garden centre that is linked to it which is rather big too. Although there prices are not ... Read the complete review

We bought a house in October and have made many trips to B & Q Greenwich. We don't have a car so need to have larger items delivered. This has been "interesting". Only one delivery has come on the day stated - others were totally unpredictable and it is lucky we were home on each occasion. We took to phoning to see when the items would come - one day after being told the item would arrive on a date 2 weeks in the future, there was a knock on the door and there it was! I could only burst out laughing. And so it goes on. But we love the store, especially the Diamond Club for the over 60s and the 15% days.

I visited Eastbourne B&Q today to look for a mirror. I found 2 mirrors away from the rest which I liked without a price, checked on the other shelf to get the price I couldn't find the same ones. Found a sale assistance 5 steps away round the corner with a scanner in his hand, asked him politely to give me the price of the mirrors to which he replied :I can't walk that far! astonished I walked back, he came 2-3mins later then said in a rude bullying manner:Do you want to know every one of them! I said no just these 2, while he was checking the price added: Look they are there on that shelf, I said but they are not the same. After he finished I said Thank you to which he never bothered to reply back! What a disgraceful little man!Sara

I have just had my third delivery from B and Q. The first one was for my kitchen, which they mucked up. The best bit is where they doubt you, and say that 'over a certain amount' their default position is that you have the parts, and you might be lying. Once that was cleared up, I got another delivery date for the missing components, and ... Read the complete review
