I pop into Toys R Us every few weeks, primarily for a quick look around the Babies R Us department within. Babies R Us takes up a fairly small section of the store towards the back & tends to 'blend in' to the remainder of the store, rather than being totally seperate. The store covers all the major areas of babycare, with the smaller essentials such as feeding, bathing, nappies etc stocked on shelves, then larger areas taken over by comprehensive displays of the larger items such as pushchairs, highchairs, nursery furniture etc. Most items are on display, so that you can see exactly what you are buying, although don't expect things requiring batteries ...  Read the complete review

I'm writing this review as a mum-to-be who is only a few weeks away based on our experience of visiting a few times to get some of the initial things we need. We have mainly been to the Preston store. This is around a quarter of the Toys R Us store. They do lack the range of some items but I found them to have a very good range of: ***Bottles/ sterilisers/ dummies*** We were looking for BPA plastic-free versions of these due to the possible link between BPA and obesity/ added hunger. The bottles we could choose from were well labelled and this was at least 35% of the products available including Maws, Born Free and some Tommee Tippee, more than I have ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review BabiesRUs: Stack 'em high store, lots in it, but no advice (352 words)

I wasn't planning to visit BabiesRUs, but on a recent visit to Mothercare in Manchester I decided to pop in since it was just next door. The store is based within a ToysRUs store. As you enter through the entrance you are pushed through a flip-back of aisles loaded with sweets which I think is disappointing cashing in on unhealthy eating for children. Hopefully, children old enough to be interested in sweets will be too excited by the toys and rush through this bit, though there were sweets similarly lining the checkouts. The store itself, though it had organised items into appropriate groups by age and type, was hard to navigate as the shelves were very ...  Read the complete review

I went into ToysRUs and decided to look around at the heavily touted BabiesRUs section. I had already been to Boots and Mothercare so I knew what the prices were on things that were on our to get list, and I looked forward to comparing those prices with this store. Surprise! They were NOT cheaper. Prices were either the same within a 5 to 10 pence variation, or else it was not exactly the same item. Case in point. We wanted to purchase a Graco Metrosport pushchair. At Mothercare this sold for a bit over £200 as a travel system. The Metrosport was only available at BabiesRUs as a pushchair only, no car seat, for £179. To purchase a car seat of the same calibre ...  Read the complete review

BabiesRUs: Babies R Us - BRILLIANT (386 words)

Babies R Us may not have the greatest stock of baby clothes or the nicest of nursery decoration but its definately the one stop shop for all your other baby needs including food and drink, bottles, dummies, nappies, toiletries, safety gates and other safety equipment, baby walkers, fireguards. bouncers, prams, puchchairs, car seats and loads more. Not only that, you will find Babies R Us in a section of Toys R Us so you have all the toys under the sun to choose from and their stock levels are fantastic. I have to admit that I do not visit Toys R Us as many times as I do Mothercare but I really wish that I had gone there for more of my baby needs before Matthew ...  Read the complete review
