I can say Bally has been part of my life since I was born. My Dad is a great Bally fan, he owns almost a hundred pairs of Bally loafers. Since he works mostly inside and outside the office alot (you can tell that I dont spend much time with him, busy man!), Bally is his great companion. He always mentioned that Bally loafers are so comfortable. I'm not so keen with what he said because I was young and I prefer something more colourful.

His intention to Bally shoes followed by my elder brothers (I have 4 elder brothers and I'm the only daughter!), they all loves Bally mens shoes. Same as my father, their reason is that because its light and comfortable.

My Mom, really into Bally bags...she's basically the same as me, we like to carry everything, and Bally bags have lots of different sizes and its not gonna hurt the bag if my Mom carry so many things (included my kitkats!). She have the classic Bally bags that still very trendy until now (vintage!). Same as my Dad, my Mom owns plenty of Bally bags and shoes as well.

Usually, when we went shopping, I just wait outside Bally boutique because I prefer to buy colourfur bags from Guess or Esprit....hehehehe...but its all changed now...I've grown up!

A BIT ABOUT BALLY

Bally has been around for more than 150 years. But of course it was a small shop that make shoes back then. Its originally from Switzerland. At the beginning it was a family own but then its expand their business and on 1892 its open the first shop in London bond street. To make the story short, Bally sales grown quiet fast and the started to open their shop all over the world such as Africa, Asia, South America...etc. Basically, Bally have reached the golden era as one of the world luxury brand.

THE QUALITY

If you go to a Bally shop and grab whatever you see, I can tell you that you can see clearly the Bally quality is different than others. For example, the bags is so exquisite.
Every lining is so well made and the soft leather is not something we should be suprise about. The style they have mostly convensional (classic) you can wear their leather goods for ages. The shoes are very fine constructed, no doubt that Bally have all the quality you expect from a luxury brand.

MY TIME WITH BALLY

When I got to the UK for my MA, I started to get more curious about my look (hum!), I mean, I live in university residence where the room is a small as a birdcage (as we all call it!). I can not buy many funny looking stuff, no place for it. But getting to know other students, I realized that the more you get older, the more mature you are. Some students told me that they prefer to get one thing but very fine quality then many trendy things but only last for months. Thats started to make sense to me.

The first thing I wanna do is change my Guess zebra handbag (yeah..I know!)....I dont know why, I started to like something elegant...hum...classic, I guess. Something that can show my age as not an highschool student anymore. Last christmas, I decided to go to Bally, because its the first brand that hit my head when I was thinking about quality. But of course I'm not gonna buy it right away...I have to deal on saving my money before I can get anything...you know...student thang!

But I was lucky...when I arrived in Bally Oxford Circus, they were having a sale up to 60% off!!! what an offer! so hard to resist...so, I went inside the store, I was suprise that Bally design has been changed a lot!

Now its very modern, but still classy. There's no more boring style other than interesting shapes of bags with 'very Bally' style. Really good changes! I got my eyes on a square handbag that looks like a cube....I thought its so cute!!!! but its made from black leather with very nice stitching...even on their zip pull! I definietly got to have the bag....after thinking for about 30 minutes in the shop (hehe) I
know that I can not go back without my cube bag!!!! I paid about GBP.120 after 60% off....so very good deal, dont you think?

I love the way the sales pack my cube back, its come with a red dust back and carrying my own Bally shopping bag makes me very happy and I have no doubt that I did the best purchase ever! and I was right....when I got back to my hall, the girls went crazy with my bag...one of them even went to Bally the next day and got the smaller size of the cube bag!

Another thing that I bought from Bally is their shoes last February (well, I thought I might have valentine date and need a sexy shoes! hehehe). The shoes is not as trendy as Manolo's or Jimmy choo that you see in the magazines...but they're definietly well structured. I have a wide feet, and Bally shoes have different kind of sizes for narrow, medium and wide feet. Thats very important to me (I will talk about it next time in my other eview).

The shoes that I chose is a simple classic black (just in case if I dont have a valentine date, at least I can wear it around too! hehehe). Its so comfortable and I think this is the first shoes that I ever bought without killing my feet first before become comfortable. I personally think that Bally is the best place if you're looking for a shoes that you want to wear everyday, like to the office or just to go shopping. The places that require comfortable shoes.

ME AND BALLY NOW

My bag still in stunning condition. Even I've been carrying it everywhere. I can smell the nice leather and the lining inside the bag still the same! no tear at all. Even the outside leather still fantastic, I bought somekind of polish for leather bags to make my bag stays longer. Since, my first Bally bag....I'm became bags addicted (maybe ran in the family?), and I always look for leather. I did bought a Lulu Guinness handbag (anna) after watching Sex & the City, but I dont like it, it can not match my Bally bag
. The Lulu bag is very seasonal, and with the price I paid for it, I dont think its worth at all. The canvas material just does not have the 'exclusive' looking, nice colour though. I only carried my Lulu bag once and then its stays under my bed. I always turned back to my Bally bag or other bags.

I've learned my lesson though...if I want to spend more than GBP.100 for a bag, I will expect all the qualities in it. Material and maker is most important. Especially for me GBP.100+ is a lot of money. I will invest on a bag that I can wear for a long time or maybe if I have a daughter one day, she can use it too....just like me, when I went back home for spring holiday, the first thing I did is went to my Mom's closet and found lots of stuff that I want and still can use it!

What about my shoes?? well...its still great. I've been wearing it everywhere, even for a long walk shopping in London, changing from train to the tube...also deal with all kind of stairs...I still love it. In fact, I have another pair of Bally shoes that my Dad bought me when I went home that spring holiday. Yup, I guess I can say that now that we're the Bally family....heheheh
