Advantages: If you love cheap plastic gadgets, this is for you.

Disadvantages: Lots! See below!

I wonder how many members of the public share my total dislike and disapproval of the "BETTERWARE" catalogue? If I had to choose items to go into my "Room 101", then the

"Betterware catalogue"

would be towards the top of the list, followed very closely by the "Innovations" catalogue. We actually live in an area where there is not just one, but TWO Betterware representatives, we actually get TWO catalogues shoved through the letterbox within a couple of days of each other. You then have to put the catalogue back outside again on a certain day, so that the strange lady (who got the sack from Avon, clearly) can collect it again. What happens to it then, I do not know.
Now, woe betide you if you forget to put the catalogue outside your door on the stated collection date, or throw it away by mistake! This is like commiting the cardinal sin, even though they invaded your privacy in the first place by posting it through your letter box! You are then plagued by the strange woman for the rest of your life, even though you are never going to order anything from this catalogue as long as you live.

The gadgets in this catalogue are just so useful, you'll wonder how you ever managed without it. The usual plastic microwave egg makers feature quite highly in the list, as do things like long plastic rods with a snatch thing on the end of it to catch spiders in. Other labour-saving devices include various cleaning products, bins, covers for everything in your house, even tea-spoon rests!

I have never actually found anything in this catalogue that I could honestly do without. The same applies to "Kleeneze", which is another catalogue of the same genre, which we also get regularly! Aaaaargggh!

Harsh and ill informed I`m afraid.........Betterware agents are really looking to find out who wants the catalogues or not and depending on area the marketplace is between 4 and 8%. So he/she has a hard enogh task as it is. So if youve not got a NO CIRCULARS sign on or near your door and unless you`ve told them how are they to know....they are doing a good honest living for very moderate pay.

Regarding invasion of privacy why not ban the postman or lady? they deliver unwanted mail EVERYDAY not once in 6 weeks. Its easy if you don`t want the catalogue just say and the fact that two distributors deliver means one of them is breaking the betterware rules and the company should have been informed long ago and if the offending party continued they would lose their distributorship.

Believe me no distributor wants to deliver to someone not interested and would the author be so unfriendly to a very attractive lady distributor who greets him with a smile?

Personally, I just put the catalogue in the bin and if they argue I give 'em my long rant about why I don't buy from companies that test on animals. for some reason they stay away then....;0)
