Advantages: Sometimes they have good lighting or bedding

Disadvantages: An absolute focus on wider fit childrens clothing

I used to buy loads of things from British Home Stores but over the last year or two they seem to have gone down hill quite dramatically.

In the past the range of school wear and childrens clothes were fantastic, however all they seem to stock these days is clothing for children who require 'larger' sizes. I do accept the genreal idea is that children are getting bigger these days - but I would have to ask - where are all these overweight children? In the Primary School my daughters attend there are a few children who are quite obviously overweight, but no more so than when I was at Primary school - which is more than 20 years ago. So why then, is there such a focus on extra width clothing?

This has resulted in me buying all my childrens' school wear from elsewhere and, to be honest, if the look of the stores does not improve it is very unlikely that I would return as a customer!

Summary: What is the obsession with extra width school clothing!!!
