Blockbusters main service is to rent out dvds or films in any other available format. They also rent out games for consoles, such as the xbox 360, playstation 3, etc. They dont just rent them out, but they are also for sale, along with other various items such as controllers, memory cards and even some snacks, like choolate and popcorn. They also have a website were you can make rentals dierctly to them and they arrive in the post. We have a big Blockbuster near us at Crystal peaks in Sheffield... Blockbusters are huge DVD and games rental stores where you can buy many products as well... The main idea of the shop is to rent a DVD for one night at a premium rate of £3.95 and then post or drop it back into them the next night before 10pm which means you can have it for over 24 hours in some cases. We have been using this branch for years and my mum even went out on a date with one of the guys there, lol! :-P The staff are really friendly (especially with my mum!) and always are helpful and polite. If there isn't something in stock you want to buy like a ... Read the complete review

Blockbuster Video Rental stores were great when I was younger, we would go get a family flick, pile on the couch and munch our way through the film. As a teen me and the girls would go select a chick flick, based on the eye candy on offer, and settle down with hot choc and marshmallows to enjoy the movie. As an adult I enjoy going and selecting a movie from Blockbuster, picking my ice cream and treats, and watching it cuddled up on the sofa with my partner. However, lately, I would say over the last year, the options in my local store have become limited. You cant get any classics any more (and you would think it would be easier to store DVDs than VHS), ... Read the complete review

Before the internet domination took over Blockbuster was so popular with everyone. These days it seems like that has changed and I would be surprised is my local Blockbuster gets at least 50 customers a week I highly doubt it! I gave it a go at Blockbuster last month just to check out the prices of their rentals. Nothing has changed here at all with their prices still being high for the rentals. My little nephew wanted Fifa 10 before it came out for rental and the price at Blockbuster was over 3.95 per night! Who on earth would want to pay that! Do they not realize that Lovefilm offers the game for rent to at a much lower monthly price. The rental ... Read the complete review

There used to be a time when video rental shops were popular, this was over ten years ago. Recently with high speed broadband internet, it is now possible to download a film or stream a move off the internet. Walk into any Blockbuster video store and it's like visiting a museum. My localk Blockbuster has a range of DVD's and games available to rent but the whole appearance of the shop just looks tatty and unappealing. The prices are also a bit high and there's little incentive to go there to browse the titles. DVD's cost a few pounds to rent however in recent years DVD's have generally come down in price. There used to be a time when it cost £20 for a DVD ... Read the complete review
