Blockbuster video rental is one of the best postal rental services I have used.
The service is simple. Simply compose a list of all the films you would be interested in seeing, put them in priority order and then wait for them to be delivered. I particularly like the ability to add films that are currently at the cinema to your watch list. As soon as they come out on DVD they will be delivered to you.

There are a number of rental packages available. If you wish to change between packages then this is a simple process as it can be completed on line in a few clicks. It should be noted that it is a good idea to check how much you are using the service in order to see if you are getting value for money. I originally started on the unlimited 3 films a month but found I was not watching the films in a timely manner. All your rental history is available on line so this is a simple task.

Turnaround times are usually 3 to 4 days so post back on a Monday and you will get your replacements Wednesday or Thursday. It does get affected by Christmas where you can be waiting longer.

As well as film rentals (DVD and Bluray) you can rent games, although I have never tried this. There are competitions, interviews and a customer rating facility for films.

Having tried all the others through their free trial promotions, I always stick with Blockbuster. The choice is wide and the turnaround is quick. The website also seems easier to use and logically laid out, but then again I have been using it for a long time! I have never had any problems with them and best of all you can take payment holidays. If you are going away for 2 weeks then simply take a 2 week payment holiday and don't pay for the service over that time.

Packages start from £4.88 up to £22.50 per month with a free month trial. Sign up and if you don't like it cancel but make sure you do it a week early to make sure the discs get back in time.

Summary: If you are an avid film watcher then this will save you on Sky subscriptions.
