I find that their sizing is generous and whereby I take a size 14 then maybe a size 12 will fit fine, this seems to boost the ego ! I know only too well that often a visit to Dorothy Perkins will end in ... more

Premium Review Bonmarché: Mature Women Can Have A Lot Of Fun ! (720 words)

Bon Marche have always been labelled as a clothing store that caters for the mature woman, I admit that I am mature but I will not admit to being dowdy or too far behind the times. The Bon Marche store in our small town is quite a large store with a modern frontage and inside the clothing is all very well displayed. If I am looking for something extra special, maybe to wear to a wedding or a party then a visit to the city is on the cards but for everyday clothing Bon Marche has quite a lot to offer. The store itself is sparkling clean and given that I am a regular visitor I get a warm welcome from the staff. I also have a Bon Marche loyalty card ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Bon Marche - Leave your zimmer outside please! (201 words)

Bon Marche has over 380 stores nationwide and sells clothes aimed at the older women market. They sell mainly bigger sizes - not a change of finding something in a size 6 or 8! Opening times are similar to other stores - open mostly 7 days a week now. Ranges include casual and formal separates, outerwear, swimwear, lingerie nightwear and accessories, all designed for the more mature figure. The bath robes are particularly nice. In 2007, it took on David Emanuel, the designer of Princess Diana's wedding dress to design a collection for them. These items are a bit more expensive than the main Bon Marche range but they are a bit more ...  Read the complete review

Bonmarche was founded in 1982 and since 2002 has been part of The Peacock Group. There are over 370 Bonmarche stores nationwide and they employ over 4,000 people. The BonMarche website describes the company as being a dedicated high street retailer for women aged 45 plus, offering exceptional value and a wide range of sizes. This statement makes the aim crystal clear, affordable fashion for the mature woman. As you approach the BonMarche store in our town the window displays are always appealing, at the moment with Christmas just around the corner the emphasis is on evening and partywear. The store is very friendly and the staff never ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review TRES TRES BON!! (531 words)

I love shopping, and I am delighted to say that there is a Bon Marche store in the town where I live. I am almost certain that many High Streets now have a Bon Marche. I love going in and having a good browse around. This store does not really cater for the younger generation. This is probably why a lot of people think it is for old ladies. It sells a wide selection of ladies clothing and accessories. I especially like it for their casual styles. I have recently purchased a pair of 'jogging trousers' for the princely sum of £7. No, I am not taking up running, they are for wearing around the house. They are lovely and thick and extremely comfy. They ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Bonmarché: Never mind the image try the shop (425 words)

I admit it, I shop at Bon Marché. There I've got it off my chest. I feel a lot better for that. Not only do I shop there but lots of other people shop there too. My mum shops there and lots of older ladies do. Does this mean it is an old ladies shop? NO!!!!! Let me tell you why I shop there. I am vertically challenged. I am not saying I am small. I am 5'4”, which used to be the average height for a woman. My figure is a full hour glass shape. In a lot of shops the clothes are designed for the taller woman. Trouser legs are too long or sleeves need shortening. At Bon Marché they seem to cater for people like me. The reason ...  Read the complete review
