Mature Women Can Have A Lot Of Fun !
Member Name: Emmald
Advantages: A good range of clothing in all styles and sizes.
Bon Marche have always been labelled as a clothing store that caters for the mature woman, I admit that I am mature but I will not admit to being dowdy or too far behind the times.
The Bon Marche store in our small town is quite a large store with a modern frontage and inside the clothing is all very well displayed.
If I am looking for something extra special, maybe to wear to a wedding or a party then a visit to the city is on the cards but for everyday clothing Bon Marche has quite a lot to offer.
The store itself is sparkling clean and given that I am a regular visitor I get a warm welcome from the staff. I also have a Bon Marche loyalty card which offers no points or financial gain but when the store has special offers and sales then you are one of the first to know, you also receive vouchers that will entitle you to a discount if you spend over a certain amount.
Bon Marche stocks such a variety, skirts, slacks, jeans, cropped trousers, underwear, nightwear, slippers, handbags, shoes, boots, jewellery and hair accessories.
I find that their sizing is generous and whereby I take a size 14 then maybe a size 12 will fit fine, this seems to boost the ego !
I know only too well that often a visit to Dorothy Perkins will end in disappointment, their clothes are far more tailored which can present problems.
At the back of the store there is always a sale rail, naturally this is one area that I always head straight for. The price reductions are substantial and often goods can be slashed to less than half of the normal price.
There are roomy changing rooms with `kind` mirrors and I have now accepted that it is easier to try a garment on in the store rather than have to return to the store with it if it fails to fit.
I agree that Bon Marche do cater for mature women but they still manage to offer fashionable clothes that are extremely well priced.
I tried on a box jacket last week, a good thick woollen mix in a dark grape colour, it was in the sale for £8, it fitted me perfectly and it now has a new home in my wardrobe.
Bon Marche love to have special offers to tempt customers in through the doors. Maybe one week there will be two garments for £12 or three tops for £15 and if you regularly go away on holiday they have so many bargains in the tee -shirt and shorts department.
Bon Marche also have an extensive range of evening wear, it is very attractive and I feel that they have done well on that score.
The handbags and belts are up to the minute, the shoes tend to be a bit hit and miss but I have bought a few `comfy` pairs for trotting about in.
It can be so hard for the larger ladies to find fashionable clothes but Bon Marche cater for all going from size 12 right up to size 20 plus.
One of the burning issues just has to be how their clothes fare once they have been washed and the answer to that is simple, they wash like a rag !
I have clothes in my wardrobe that were bought from Bon Marche years ago and they are still as good as new.
I like their lingerie and I had such a bargain with a couple of pairs of pyjamas a few weeks ago, I paid £12 for two pairs of very pretty yet trendy light jersey pyjamas.
Bon Marche have a monthly magazine which if I remember rightly costs 75p, I have bought it a couple of times but it is along the same lines as the Saga magazine.
If you are looking for a new outfit then don't rule Bon Marche out, all too often I have heard people say that they consider it cheap and outdated, That is an unfair statement, just go inside and
judge for yourself, you will be surprised.
Our store opens from Monday to Saturday, 9am - 5.30 pm.!
