Advantages: a wide range of products, advantage card

Disadvantages: not the cheapest place to shop

Boots is proberly one of my main shops i shop in for things like toiletries and little gifts. Boots is a health and beauty shop basically where you can find pharmacy services, baby items, toiletries, make-up and health products.

Boots is proberly not the cheapest place to shop for these types of items, where places like poundland and sainsburys etc. would sell the same for cheaper. One plus of Boots though is their advantage card. In my opinion this is the best store card around, because for every £1 you spend you recieve 4p on your card, and it is supprising how quickly they rack up. They also have special promation days where you can get up to 8p for every £1 spent, and you can also print out vouchers which get you money off products with your card.

As im a girl i love my make-up and boots proberly supplys one of the largest ranges of make-up around (which is what i usually spend my points on), as well as they have make-up consultants there to help which i think is excellent. I am a major fan as they have just introduced a line of urban decay products...to die for.

My favourite time of year at Boots is christams whee they bring out their collection of gifts which i love. Once again they are not awfully cheap, but my trick is to wait till boxing day when they start their new year sale where all of their christmas stuff goes down to half price. If you have missed someone out, or not seeing a family member till new year this is an ideal way to save a little money. I also buy the gifts and use them as birthday presents throughout the year...ideal.
