Advantages: Like a library but sometimes you have to pay!
Disadvantages: Can get very busy at xmas
Borders in Leeds is an amazing bookshop, where you can go and read anything, for as long as you like and then put it back!
Well you arent really supposed to read a whole book or paper, but people do. They also have a Starbucks coffee inside where you can take a pile of magazines to read with your drinks and pannini.
They have every type of book here, from fiction, to languages, to science, revision guides. If they dont have it in stock all you need to do is order it from any of the customer service desks.
A lot of the staff in here are into books, and they can recommend you something if you ask them what the best new books are.
My mum could literally spend all day in this shop when she comes to visit. She feels so relaxed in there she doesnt know where the time goes. It really is that sort of shop, where you can read for hours and they dont mind. Its not like my local corner shop where they tape the magazines together so you cant flick through them when you are getting your milk.
There are often promotions such as buy one get one free on all fiction paperbacks. This is great as books are quite expensive and this makes it a bit less painful to part with your money.
I can recommend this shop to people who are looking to find an interesting read. I use it mainly for books for my Dutch language course at the moment, but I have bought many a fiction book.
Summary: Great bookshop
