I've always quite liked Borders. I've spent a few afternoons there in the past looking through many books that interest me. A lot of the time I've been surprised at how big the range of books is! Almost every time I go there I find that what I'm looking for or something very near. Even if I go with the intention buying some obscure ... Read the complete review

The demise of Borders in the UK does not surprise me. I live in London and can only comment on the 2 central London outlets on Oxford Street and Charing Cross Road. I've always found Borders to be like a Jack-of-all-trades and a master of none. The main problem they had was the location as they were situated in the most ... Read the complete review

Borders high street book stores are amazing - I could get lost in them for hours browsing all the different sections, books, music, computer games (Game), and even a paperchase store (I love paperchase!). I have always found the staff in Borders, and the Paperchase and Game concessions very helpful and knowledgeable. The Bournemouth ... Read the complete review

I am a huge fan of reading and working up in a city centre I have often headed to the Glasgow Borders store to take a look around the selection on offer and am always impressed with the variety of books on offer and how well laid out the store is. The store is well maintained and kept clean with shelves always fully stocked. The ... Read the complete review

I have been a regular shopper at Borders for a number of years. There is obviously a huge choice of book shops on the high street but Borders has always stood out as a firm favourite of mine. My local store is a very big one and also contains a Starbicks and a Paperchase. The layout is impressive, it feels spacious and ... Read the complete review

I confess I'm a book addict, I have too many that I haven't read and enough to keep me in good reading material for ages, but I still can't resist visiting a well stocked bookshop and perhaps picking up one of two more interesting volumes to add to my to be read pile. One of the shops that I'll pay a visit to no matter where in the ... Read the complete review

Borders looks to be a typical largescale book emporium on stepping in to the store, but in the Southampton Borders, walk upstairs and you'll find a Starbucks (I'm not sure of the exact location of each of your Starbucks in Borders), well how novel you think. A Book store with coffee, brilliant. Whenever I go there I'm reminded ... Read the complete review

When I'm let into a book shop (especially one the size of Borders) I go mental with happiness and tend to pick up tens of books... I just can't help myself! As well as the store has loads of aisles of books and books and books, you get to shop to the smell of great Starbucks coffee. You can't really ask much more than that. My ... Borders Bookshop is quite similar in nature to Waterstones Bookshop. It provides a high quality environment for the customer to browse the bookshelves in peace. If you wander through the bookcases you will find books of every type. All my favourites are there a new thriller or whodunit by some new author, or the latest ... Read the complete review

Borders is probably one of my favourite places to go and chill. I can happily spend a good few hours in Borders, browsing the books, grabbing a coffee in the starbucks coffee shop upstairs and looking at all the pretty stationary they have in there. Their stores are generally huge with the biggest selection of books and magazines of any ... Read the complete review

This is solely relating to Borders Online Bookshop I recently (3rd April 2009) ordered from Borders. I was looking for Priscilla Queen of the Desert for part of my friends birthday present on the 12th April. Going through find-dvd.co.uk to check the cheapest price, Borders was 78p cheaper than Amazon, and as I went through ... Read the complete review

Borders sells mainly books, but also DVDs, CDs, games etc. A lot of them also have a Starbucks and/or a Paperchase tucked away, and I've also noticed they are beginning to introduce mini GAME sections. One thing I like about Borders is that the shops are always big and airy with high ceilings, as they are often found on retail ... Read the complete review

I'm a new student, i've a list of books I need that's as long as my arm and if i'm honest, i'm a bit lost in this massive bookshop. Walked into Borders and in truth I was overwhelmed. Borders in Leeds is an amazing bookshop, where you can go and read anything, for as long as you like and then put it back! Well you arent really supposed to read a whole book or paper, but people do. They also have a Starbucks coffee inside where you can take a pile of magazines to read with your drinks and pannini. They ... Read the complete review

Borders is heaven for a book lover! It's a huge shop that sells books, CD's, DVD's and stuff! Wondeful. I don't know if this is a feature in all Borders shops, but the one nearest to me has a Costa Coffee shop in it which is to a great advantage to me. I love books and I love Borders bookshops! I live in the north of England and there is a Borders bookshop within a mile of my house, on one of the out of town shopping centres. You know what my favourite smell is? Books. Yup, I have a particular penchant for the smell of old books, but will settle for new ones at a push. In fact, there isn't much I don't like about books. I like reading books. I like listening to Jazz. I like drinking coffee. I like poetry readings. I like Piano recitals. I like soft sofas.
