Shopping Areas in Brighton in general

Brighton is one of my favourite places for shopping. Firstly its not a hard city to get in and you dont get stuck in to much traffic and parking is very easy, if a little expensive.
However- brighton is amazing for shopping. If you are looking for high street, Churchill Square and the near by high street, has pretty much any ... shop that you could need and is in a well designed layout!
But the best thing about Brighton is that it has more than just the high street fashions, It has the laines, which is full if querky, exciting and very different shops, including some veru exciting 60's, 70's and 80's second hand shops!
The laines host a whole range of different shops, from shops for Goths, Punks and Hippies!
However on the other side of the laines there are the high end of the market shops, selling beautiful and quality jewerlary and clothing.
Brighton is a modern seaside city, with the pier and marina area.
I well recommend a visted to brighton, its amazing for all the family Read the complete review |

Shopping Areas in Brighton in general

Brighton is excellent for one-off quirky shops and also has the high street stuff too.
If you are a fan of high-street clothes, head to Churchill Square. The opening hours are:
Monday - Wednesday 9 - 6pm
Thursday 9 - 8pm
Friday & Saturday 9 - 7pm
Sunday 11 - ... 5pm
Churchill Square has shops such as Debenhams, BHS, River Island, Republic, Early Learning Centre etc. Just outside Churchill Square are shops such as Cult, Primark, M&S and New Look.
However, if like me, you are a fan of more original shops, a treat awaits you in 'The Laines' area of Brighton. As it suggests, The Laines comprises lots of different lanes and courtyards where you can find antique jewellery shops, quirky shops like Plain Lazy (www.plainlazy.com), card shops, tea shops, kitchen shops etc. There is also a jewellers section in the South Laines and the variety is unbelievable, with some really quirky and creative pieces of jewellery.
If you are coming to Brighton via train, walk straight down Queens Road and the north and south lanes are to your left. They are very well signposted but everyone knows where they are and will direct you to them.
As well as having retail outlets, The Laines also have lots of café's and pubs so you can quench your thirst along the way. There are the usual chains such as Café Rouge, Pizza Express; Nando's but there are also one off places such as Pokeno Pies (52 Gardner Street. North Laine).
For more information you can consult http://www.northlaine.co.uk/

Of course, if you are tired after all that shopping you could do worse than grab a bench overlooking the sea and buy your loved one a '99'!!! Read the complete review |
