British Heart Foundation (BHF) Reviews

Newest Review: ... wanted for just £2 and it is super, I have yet to make it look a little bit better but it is so solid and nice looking it is so worth it. I actually gave them £5 as it is a charity and a good cause and every penny they receive goes to good causes and research. Inside the one I went into there were lots of furniture items as well as clothing and bric a brac and they were all display nicely, and to be honest I find these shops sometimes better displayed than the high street ones. Some of the shops can be mostly found in the High Street but sometimes they are on the shops in a local area, I do not have one near to where I live but there are... more

british heart foundation charity ? shops are the most organised /well laid out /proffesionally run and definatley the most expensive of all the big name charity shops in the high street.with bernado`s a close second.in affluent areas this might not be a problem , but in poorer areas where people who shop in charity shops also use jumbles /boot sales /second hand markets/ british heart foundation shops are a place to browse and not to buy .i beleive central office whoever that may be at the british heart foundation has an accross the board pricing policy which does not allow any give or take when it comes to pricing there goods as every single shop no matter whether it be in rough and ready grays , or affluent leigh on sea there goods are priced the same.

I am disabled and I was looking around to buy myself a new chair for my bedroom so that I can sit down on a chair instead of the bed as I was getting very uncomfortable at times and I just could not find a nice chair, which was affordable for my needs. All the ones I liked were priced at over £100 just for a basic one, and in January I had a very bad fall at home and could not get out of bed for 2 weeks and my son told me I may find one in a charity shop much cheaper and may be able to restore one if I could buy one from somewhere. So I have been looking around since then and found nothing suitable until last Saturday when I popped into town and ... Read the complete review

I've decided to write a review on my opinion of British Heart Foundation Charity shops, the main reason for this is that I've been working in one for about a month now while I've been waiting to start my industrial placement (i'm a student). I had previously visited the British Heart Foundation shop in Cheltenham, near where I live, and it sells just books, cds, videos and records. I came across the shop walking into the town and noticed some good books in the window, so deicded to take a look inside. I found so many books, some of my favourite author Lesley Pearse (whose books I couldn't find at my local library) so bought a few for about £2 - £2.50 ... Read the complete review

We hopefully all know that the funds raised by The BHF go towards funding research for heart disease, some of that by general giving, some of that from sales in charity stores, some by fundraising and whatever other means spring to mind. My review is particularly regarding the store in Sheffield City Centre. In terms of charity shops, this one is a fairly run of the mill version with one exception. They have a cellar store room which is heaving with dresses. Wedding dresses, bridesmaids dresses, frocks flounces and fripperies galore. I'm not sure that Joe or Josephine Public can go down there, they've always asked what I'm after and brought me a selection. ... Read the complete review
