I love my day trips to Glasgow and there is nothing better to do in this fantastic city than to shop. I never usually have a lot of money with me when I go here which is a bit stupid but I do have eough to get atleast one item. I always go to Glasgow by bus and then it takes me right into the Bus station in the town centre. From here I walk out of the station turn right towards the cinema and then left down a little until I see the huge John Lewis TV screen next to Virgin Megastore and the glass windows are the Buchanan Galleries.

I love the appearance of the building and always buy something at the small Sainsbury's local next door. It is easy to get to Buchanan Street from the train station and bus station, there is also parking nearby which is easy for those coming a long way. When inside the Buchanan Galleries you see escalators, hectic atmosphere and Millie's Cookies. I love the cookies, I am sure it is still there anyway I only went a couple of months ago.

There is something in the shopping centre for everyone, clothes shopping, childrenswear, mens, ladies, jewellery, accessories, health and beauty, household, books, toys, electrical and food and drink. I am sure there is something you would like out of that list, I am always interested in the ladies fashion. There are some good shops and ones that I don't get in Edinburgh, Morgan, O'Neill, Jane Norman, Mango a lot of good shops which I don't mind having a look in and I will usually get something.

With the O'Neill shop I had seen a bag I liked but had been short of money so I phoned and asked if the did over the phone deliveries, they did and I told the bag colour I wanted and gave credit card details. The staff were helpful and phoned back a few times to ask things then next day I received my bag it was very quick and the people were very nice, it came in bags and was lovely.

I don't always go clothes shopping though, sometimes I like the usual
going into Boots to have a look and I have bought things here then in John Lewis they have a great material section and my sister makes clothes so I got a few things, a better variety and at good prices.

If you want a break from shopping you can get something to eat at Burger King, drink at Costa Coffee, or buy chocolate at Thorntons, you could also try Millie's Cookies like I mentioned earlier, they have offers on sometimes and the cookies are tasty.

The shops are all mixed, different categories next to eachother you can make a good day trip here or also just go down Buchanan Street looking at shops or go to Sauciehall Street, St Enoch's centre is a tube stop away at Buchanan Street. It is easy to get around with the underground, at the St Enoch's centre the food in the upstairs cafeteria is really nice I go for pizza and chips you can also get pizza, there is a potato secton, pizza etc .

The transport in Glasgow is easy to access there are always buses, trains are frequent and buses are always going. The people will help you if you are lost and Buchanan Galleries are a great place to visit while here.
