Advantages: Great time bonding with children. A fun time for the whole family.

Disadvantages: Can get to be rather expensive.

The very first time that my daughter walked into a build a bear workshop I was so sure she would never leave. Her eyes got as big as saucers and all she could do was spin in circles as she took it all in. She came to a stop on one of the employee's hands filled with soft snuggly animals of all types. Squealing with delight she ran over bursting with conversation of what she wanted to make.
The first animal she was to build was a Unicorn princess that has a music box as well as a wish sewn safely inside. It is a Moment that will live for ever as a childhood fantasy come true. She chose her skin and almost was not willing to let the skin be stuffed not understanding at first that she was gonna make her own stuffed animal. After some convincing that it was ok she parted with her unicorn skin to be stuffed.
She said "Not to full Mommy right?" She wanted to be able to sit down and snuggle with her new friend. So we put in just the right amount of stuffing the perfect wish and the music box. Saying goodbye for the moment as her unicorn friend was stitched up. When Uni arrived back to us all the better and ready to be groomed and dressed.
My Daughter grabbed her giving her a quick brush of her hand and hastily went to get her new friend dressed. She had places to go and people to show her new friend too. She choose a white fancy dress and cone pointed hat with a long bit of lace coming off the top of the hat down the back. She registered her new friend in case they had the misfortune of ever becoming seperated and out the door she went.
This is as my daughter put it one of the best days of her life. A day that she will never forget. It has been 3 years now since she first made that unicorn and we have made many more friends for her over the last 3 years but Uni has a special spot in her heart. The first friend that she ever made all by her self.

Summary: Good clean wholsome fun for the whole family to enjoy.
