I absolutely adored this store from day one. I was always encouraged from a very young age to buy things myself with pocketmoney. C&A was great for this because not only were there clothes fashionable but they were at such low prices! I remember many a time when I came out of that store with a top that had cost something ridiculous like £2! ...

I was so upset when I found out that all the C&A shops where closing down - why did such a good shop have to go? I know that their sales where down and that they were not making a profit but everyone I know has brought something in there in the last year. Clockhouse was my favourite part but when I was little I got most of my ...

I have to say I was mildy amused to see C&A under a heading of 'Fashion Shops' on Dooyoo today, C&A and fashion not being two words that I have often seen go hand in hand. In fact it seems like I'm one of the few people out there who will be glad to see the back of C&A and their shoddy brand of highly 'daggy' clothing. It is ...

I think that it is a real shame that this shop is going to be closing down for good. I think the reason that less people were shopping here, was that people do not want to buy cheap clothes, they want to buy labels, or at least from a high street store which isn’t as cheap. By that I don’t just mean the prices, but the reputation. ...

Premium Review C&A: Go get those bargains now! (244 words)
by GR-Design - written on 05/11/00 (Useful, 52 readings)
Rating:

With C&A now closing there are some excellent bargains to be picked up. I was there today and bought a nice warm Fleece for just £8 when they would usually be anything from £20 upwards. C&A is closing because of competition in the high street. C&A was renown for good, quality, reasonably price clothing. They were also renown for boring ...

C&A has always had a pretty bad reputation especially among the 'young and trendy' crowd. I think this is a bit of shame as most of these people will write it off before even having a look. The best sections in my opinion are the children’s, the underwear and Clockhouse. I most buy stuff from the latter section and have ...

What a pity C&A are closing their doors. I have always shopped there for clothes and have been pleased with their range of fashion items, prices and quality. I really will miss them. The old image of 'frumpy' clothes from C&A is long gone. The 'Clockhouse' range has provided an up to the minute selection for teenagers and ...

I will miss C & A when it finally closes in january 2001. I have used it frequently since a teenager. I love C&A childrens clothes, they are so reasonably priced. They do good pack deals on pants and socks which is great for the growing child. Their baby stuff is great and the prices are good. My daughters are 8&9 and so looking for ...

What a pity this is closing its stores. Now it is closing down the prices are what they should have been to start with. You will always get socks at a bargain in C & As so before they close it might be a good idea to go and see what they have got cheap. The Swindon branch has had a notice up for ages saying that it is closing ...

A lot of stores have already closed but the final store will close at the end of January 2001. Personally I think that C&A is one of the best priced high street stores that caters for the whole family. They are one of the only places that stock well priced ski wear all year, and the sizes are not just 8-14 for women, they go up to size ...

I just do not like C&A much at all, the clothes are very dated, quite cheap in price, there are several ranges of clothes for ladies such as clockhouse which is designed more for the younger lady, but still not very trendy, then there is the yessica , range more for the older woman, The childrens clothes are not too trendy or well made either, ...

Premium Review C & A - I'm already lamenting its imminent closure! (253 words)

Why does this brilliant chain of stores have to go? It's such a shame, along with Mark One & New Look, I love C&A for being able to get a decent outfit at a reasonable price. C&A is a great shop for stocking good quality clothes at good prices. There was plenty of run-of-mill boring stuff, but there were a lot of gems too, the section of ...

When I met my partner, he was known as the man at C&A. This was not entirely complementary, as his mother bought many of his clothes for him, mainly from the monday market. As a result he has a number of "items" in his wardrobe (and he has got more clothes than me) that can only be described as the kind of smart casuals modelled by ...

I bought a pair of Jeans with expandable waist for just £20.00 and I`m going back this week to get sone tops. With our local Dorothy Perkins is no longer stocking maternity, neither is Etam, ...

Suprise buys are always to be found in my old favourite C&As can't belive its going- took a look last week I was impressed at what I found and sorry that it is to be no more! After searching everywhere, much to my husband's dismay, for a dress without success- and believe me we did look in a lot of shops! I found 4 dresses that I ...

Although C & A is soon to be shut down, there products are still at a high standard. I must admit all the C & A’s I’ve been are old buildings that are poorly lit, laid out and have a stuffy atmosphere compared with other clothing department stores. However I can just about bare such a bad shopping experience in exchange for the good ...

I've always found C&A to be a strange shop really. The way each range varies is unbelievable giving an impression of the store that it is jumbled up and mismatched with no brand image particularly. For example the clockhouse range which is really quite good is fashionable and trendy and cheap, good for teenagers and even early ...

When I was a teenager, I remember C & A Modes (as it was called then) as quite an old fashioned store and vividly recall my Mum buying me a matching green dress and coat from there when I was 16 - yeuch!! I cried most of the day because she made me wear it. Over the years I think it has become more fashionable especially the teens wear. My ...

Premium Review C&A: Wanna Look Good? (276 words)

If YOU wanna look good this summer, then look around town for the latest fashion accessories. Pop into C&A, they have a great range of cheap but nice looking jewellery to wear when you're going out. Personally, I'd go to New Look, with their fantastic bunch of attractive extras. They have things from anklets to hair pieces. If ...

There's nothing wrong with C&A (338 words)

C&A are a bit strange really, they are sandwiched between the more fashionable chains and the unfashionable Littlewoods and Bhs. This problem is what probably lead to their downfall as the chain will be closed later this year in the UK although I wouldn't be surprised if someone makes a bid for this part of the European company. ...
