London's best bit!! (Camden Market)

Advantages: Hundreds of stalls and shop full of unique items you won't get on any high street

Disadvantages: Gets very busy on a weekend, and pickpocketing does happen

Camden market is THE shopping place to go in London if you don't want all the high street stuff that everone else has. The place is punk, goth, individual. You have a main market right next to the tube station and further markets futher down the high street, Camden Lock market (by the lock funnily enough) and The Stables Market and indoor market which has your more arty crafty bits and real hardcore punk goth (and fetish!) gear. Also there is a huge amount of independant shops which are worth a look. A lot of the shops and the stalls have similar things, so if you find something you like, look around and don't be afraid to do a bit of bartering. They don't mind and you could get a bargain, after all they want you to buy from them and not their neighbour. There's been some rumours of Camden Markets, or at least part of them being closed down... go and support this great area of London and keep the buzz going for many more years to come. I also throughly recommend the Chinese food on offer at the bottom of the Stables market, if you go late in the day you can get a whole meal for £2!
