Allied Carpets are a big company, and the store we went to had special offers on for one day only; and they were genuine. We eventually picked out a Saxonaire evergreen carpet for our hall, stairs and downstairs toilet at a price of £6.50 square yard.The total price including fitting came to £228, and we were not charged for the brass fitments, which join up the carpets at doors etc. They were efficient,polite and did a good job. I bought from Carpet Depot a few years ago and found the service and prices to be very good. They stock a large range of carpets and vinyl kitchen flooring. There are a large number of rolls on display where you can buy and take it away to fit yourself or they can arrange fitting. Alternatively some of the more expensive carpets are order only through the sample books. Having just moved to a new house and on a tight budget I bought off the roll and fitted myself. carpet depot is an oversize warehouse full of a wide range of floor coverings, within everyone's budget....recently visiting this store i noticed the salesmen say a polite hello, and without pressure, pointed out that if i wanted him he would be by the reception.....eventually the sale of a kitchen flooring was made and they promised a fitter would come the following week to measure up....not only did they arrive that day, but on time and were very curtious and answered all my questions with enthusiasm...and within weeks my floor had arrived....again the fitters were extremely polite and fitted the flooring without any problems, moans, long 'coffee breaks or an ..  Read the complete review
